Convert a ICICI Bank bank statement to Excel
Drop in a ICICI Bank statement PDF downloaded from online banking and get a spreadsheet back. The converter is layout-driven rather than bank-specific, and it checks every row against the running balance printed on your statement.

What to expect from a ICICI Bank statement
These notes describe the layout the converter is most often tested against for ICICI Bank. They are here so you know what to check in the preview — not because the tool needs them to work.
- Slightly different column set from HDFC; "Transaction Remarks" is the description.
- Long remarks are truncated with a trailing "..." in the PDF text layer.
Bank layouts change without notice, and differ by account type and country. If your statement does not match these notes, convert it anyway and use the reconcile count in the preview to judge the result.
How to check the output in 30 seconds
- Look at the reconcile badge in the preview. It should say all rows reconcile.
- Compare the last balance in the table with the closing balance on your statement.
- Filter the preview to "only rows needing a check" and compare any flagged row against the PDF.
If the last balance matches and nothing is flagged, the conversion is complete. That is a stronger check than eyeballing a few rows, because a dropped transaction cannot hide from it.
If something looks wrong
The most common causes are a date order the statement did not make obvious — switch it in the preview and re-check — and an amount that continued onto the following line. Both are surfaced rather than hidden: the row is flagged and the balance delta is recorded on the Raw sheet.

Questions people actually ask
Does the converter have a special mode for ICICI Bank?
No, and that is deliberate. The tool identifies rows and columns from the geometry of the page rather than from a per-bank template, so it works on layouts it has never seen — including the ones banks change without notice. A template that matched last year's ICICI Bank layout would be worse than no template at all, because it would fail silently.
How do I check the ICICI Bank output is complete?
Use the running balance. A ICICI Bank statement prints a balance against every row, and the converter checks that each balance plus the next amount equals the following balance. The preview shows how many rows reconciled. If the last balance in the output matches the closing balance on your statement, nothing was lost.
What if my statement looks different from the notes here?
Bank layouts change, and the same bank can print different statements for different account types and countries. The notes on this page are a starting point for checking the output, not a specification. If your statement does not match, the converter still tries — the balance check will tell you whether it succeeded.
Does this work for credit card statements as well?
Yes, if they are text-based PDFs. A credit card statement has the same shape as a bank statement: dated rows, a description, an amount and often a running balance. Statements where every row is a charge, with no balance column, still convert — you simply lose the automatic verification.
Is any of my data sent anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened and parsed inside your browser tab. There is no upload, no account and no storage. That applies whatever bank the statement came from.
